Windsor & Newton - Black Indian Ink
Calli - Burgundy ink
Colorex - Chartreuse - Dark Yellow - Tobacco
The FW bottle is filled with Gum Arabic
Lined with a Speedball dip pen with a number B-6 cartooning tip
Winsor & Newton Cotman brushes sizes 00 & 2
Tips I wish I knew when I was learning to paint
Use two cups of HOT water one to wash the brush the other is used to fade the ink with
I use one or two drops of Gum Arabic with the Tobacco brown to thin it and it stops the ink drying so fast making it easier to fade out
Never found a red I like so I use Calligraphy ink which doesn’t like to lift off the paper too much so fading can be a real pain
I always wet the area I’m painting first and leave it to dry enough that its not shiny anymore and the ink won’t spider out
All lined with Winsor & Newton black and a dip pen on Rough watercolour paper because it just looks better that way
Hope this was in anyway helpful I get a tonne of people asking me what I use to paint and I know that when I was learning I was one of the people messaging others asking them
Always happy to talk about art so drop me a message
